Well-Being is at the core of everything in life. When you feel well, you interact with the people in your life from a place of love, caring, and giving. You're an encourager and an uplifter. You allow others to shine.

When you don't feel well, you present yourself very differently to the world. You are guarded and wary. You become defensive or even aggressive. You cannot truly care for anyone else because you are focused on survival and self-preservation.
Health is an important part of Well-Being. It tends to focus on the physical aspects of our being - exercise and diet have traditionally been the first areas people make changes when wanting to improve health. And forming beneficial habits around food and movement are certainly important. But Well-Being is about all of you - physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual.
Allopathic or Western medicine typically deals with health rather than well-being. And the focus tends to be very disease or symptom oriented. Even when prevention is highlighted, it is done with the underlying sense that somewhere out there in the future lurks an illness, and you must live a certain way or do specific things to avoid it.
This ancient principle from Chinese medicine is being supported today by the science of epigenetics, which finds that our biological processes are influenced by our thoughts and perceptions. You could be sitting on the beach with no threat of danger anywhere near you, but if, in your mind you were remembering being chased by a mugger, your cells would respond to your thoughts - releasing stress hormones, pulling resources away from digestive and reproductive functions in order to provide more support to your heart, lungs, and limbs so you'll be better able to survive the threat . . . which isn't real.
Your body responds both to your environment and your thoughts. So if you are constantly focused on a possible illness in the future, even if you give your body proper exercise and nutrition, in your mind, you are still preparing for the disease.

"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." - Maya Angelou
This wonderful statement will never not be true. We are constantly learning, evolving, and expanding. Therefore, we must constantly be adjusting ourselves to do better when we know better.
As you begin to fully embrace the above principles, the only logical conclusion is that if you want to live a long, healthy, happy life, you must focus your thoughts and intentions on longevity, well-being, and joy. For many, that means retraining and reframing some of your current thoughts and beliefs, and possibly letting go of some habitual limiting thoughts and beliefs. The good news is, there are many ways do this. The better news is, I'm here to help!
I have been a well-being practitioner for nearly 20 years. I've studied and practiced a variety of modalities including acupuncture, Chinese medicine, cranio-sacral therapy, NAET, Psych-K, and Access Bars. I am a person who practices what I preach and what I teach. I practice Qigong daily, meditate, and do yoga. I journal and write. I have used all of the tools and modalities that I offer to my clients, and I still use them regularly because achieving and maintaining well-being is an on-going process. And because they work - I've seen my health and my life improve in countless ways and I'm so thankful for all the teachers and practitioners I've been blessed to work with through the years. It is my great honor and joy to pass their lessons and practices on to you.

Although we are certainly influenced by the world around us, well-being comes from within. There are many providers, tools, and techniques that can help to reduce and improve symptoms, and hasten the healing process, but the source of it is you. The facilitation I offer will get you more in tune with that inner stream of well-being, and remove the detritus that interferes with your ability to receive it. During our one-on-one sessions, you will begin to uncover your energetic blockages, how to balance and release them, and specific tools and techniques that will enable you to maintain and improve your well-being.
If what you've read so far resonates with something deep within, and you're looking for a unique and productive process for improving how you feel, please get in touch. We'll chat for 20-30 minutes so you can get a better idea of what the sessions will be like and if we're a good fit to work together.
